Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Chardonnay 2013
This wine has white flower aromas that grace the palate, with a center of pink apple, peach, and honeydew. Despite its lightness, the wine is very well rounded throughout the midpalate with a long fruity finish.
Tasting Notes - With its appealing light green robe with incredible lucidity, Villa Blanche Chardonnay 2013 has an exceptionally expressive nose of white peach and dried fruits, with a hint of menthol. Full and round in the mouth, it is a well-balanced wine. Botanical notes joined with mango and apricot are normal for this wine, year-on-year. The finish is zesty, with a light pinch of wood.
The Producer - Established in 1995, Calmel & Joseph is a maison de négoce having some expertise in Languedoc-Roussillon wines from private wineries from over the locale. Throughout the years, they built close associations with a countless amount of growers from all appellations. Persuaded of the phenomenal capability of this district, oenologist, Laurent Calmel, and Jerome Joseph cooperated on the vinification, mixing and aging of wines with the purpose of showing the little known yet exceptional nature of these Mediterranean terroirs.
