Faustino V Reserva Tinto 2017
The distinctive portrait on the front label depicts Christoph Willibald Gluck, who was a German opera composer that returned to opera its theatrical content, lost in the Baroque and the theater director at the Court of Vienna.
Aged for 16 months in American oak barrels. Pair with flavorful fish, such as tuna, squid with its ink sauce, red meats, or cured, mature cheeses.
90% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo. Established in 1861 by Eleuterio Martinez Arzok, who set out on a journey selling his Rioja wines direct from the barrel, working from the back of a horse-drawn cart. In the late 1950s, Eleuterio's equally adventurous descendant, Faustino Martinez, launched the Faustino label. Bodegas Faustino is located in Oyon, Rioja Alavesa, Spain. It has earned a world-wide reputation for the quality of its Rioja. Owning 1,606 acres of carefully tended vineyards, Faustino is virtually self sufficient in producing some of its best wines.
