Bodegas Almocaden Oloroso Caletero
Palomino | Spain
Mahogany in color, long legs, and very viscous. On the nose its sweet walnuts, light varnish, and wild honey. It has a full mouthfeel, walnuts, honey, & licorice, with a long walnut finish.air with game and red meats, or after a meal with rich cheeses.
The word "Almocaden" comes from the Arabic name which means "captain of the troops responsible for watching over the fields." And just like this captain, Bodegas Almocaden is unique in Jerez because it is one of the few bodegas with a history of owning lands and vineyards. The Almocaden vineyards lie between two equally famous neighbors, Macharnudo and El Carrascal.
