The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #6
A marriage of 21 casks which have spent 3 months in a traditional marrying TUN. The batch is comprised of whiskies from sherry refill butts, doublewood refill sherry butts and ex bourbon American oak barrels - all aged 21 years and older.
Only 3480 bottles released in the U.S. Non chill filtered, ABV of 50.4%. Nose: Rich with soft brown sugar, toffee, blossom honey and ginger oak spices. Taste: Beautiful depth on the palate with a touch of maple syrup, candied orange and runny honey. Finish: Sweet and malty alongside swathes of oak vanilla and a spicy layer.
