Aleria XX 270 Syrah 2013

The 2013 Corse XX270 sports an inky purple color to go with incredible granite influence in its liquid rock, blackberry, raspberry, floral and peppery bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, with incredible purity, this is a seriously elegant, classically styled Syrah to drink over the coming decade.

Established by Greeks, developed by Etruscans, and cultivated by Romans, the vineyard that produces this wine has been farmed for over 2500 years. This Syrah comes from vines aged 30 years and more. The rocky clay sub-soil assures that the grapes reach optimal maturity. After manual Harvest in September, the wines undergo a three week maceration and then light filtering followed by eight months of maturation in the vat to preserve natural aromas and soften the tannins.
