The lieux-dit, Chambertin is charged with prestige. Perhaps one of Burgundy's most aristocratic appellations and greatest terroir. Ruby red. Bouquet with aromas of blackberry and blueberry, accompanied by notes of liquorice. On the palate, the wine is balanced, intense and fine.
Revisited in bottle, the 2021 Santenay Rouge Gravité has fulfilled all the potential it displayed from barrel. Mingling aromas of blackberries and cassis with hints of menthol, orange oil and exotic spices, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and velvety, with a fleshy, strikingly concentrated core of fruit that's framed by supple tannins, concluding with a long, saline finish.
Anne-Marie and Jean-Marc Vincent inherited most of their vines, principally located in and around the village of Santenay in the southern Côte de Beaune, from Jean-Marc’s grandfather, André Bardollet-Bravard.
