Makashvili Wine Cellar is one of the oldest and most well respected estates in Georgia. The 2018 Khikhvi is produced from estate grown hand harvested grapes from the village of Kardenakhit. It is aged in Qvevri for 6 months with skins and stems.

A single varietal (100 percent) Tempranillo. Its grapes are from Cenicero. They are destemmed and pressed with new fermentation control technology and long maceration periods.

This has notes of dried herbs, fennel, lemons, white grapefruit and guava. It's medium-bodied with tangy acidity an the fruity and vibrant palate. Excellent freshness and intensity.

This 2021 rendition boasts beautifully fresh, fragrant aromas of honeydew melon, grapefruit and guava, with a slight floral note. Full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with a silky texture, its vibrant melon, citrus and gooseberry flavors are perfectly balanced, leading to a long, succulent finish boasting bright citrus and mineral tones. This 2018 Gravel Road Pinot Noir has a surprising expression of red fruit, especially given the blacker fruits usually associated with a warm growing season like 2018. Pronounced aromas of rhubarb/strawberry, juicy red plum, and black raspberry fruit is layered with allspice with a bit of cinnamon stick spice.
