Layered with remarkable complexity and intensity of flavors and aromas, SLOAN exhibits a gorgeous tension between elements of grace and power, balance and opulence, as well as age and vibrancy.

This Cabernet dominant blend has a stunning nose of tar, iron minerality, cassis, and dried flowers ~ especially lavender. On the palate, the wine is powerful and pure, repeating the note of cassis liqueur and black olive compote.

Straw yellow with golden hues. Very bright and clear. On the nose you are surprised by the fennel-honey combination with hints of green apple, pineapple and citrus fruits. A pleasant, tasty attack.

58% Cabernet Franc, and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine gives out a floral and spice-rich fragrance immediately. As it opens, the flavor profile is exceedingly generous, with layers of black fruit, gravel, and smoke spreading across the palate.

Each year, from small lots of fruit grown in the red rocky soil of our vineyard on Pritchard Hill, we choose just the best barrels and blend them together to create the new vintage of Ovid Napa Valley.
