With its twenty hectares in one single plot in Fronsac, Château La Vieille Cure is one of the benchmark producers in the right bank of Bordeaux. The soil found in this site is heavy on limestone, lending a remarkably fresh quality on the palate.
The 19th century château overlooks 36 hectares of vines growing on a soil consisting of clay and limestone rock. This round, fruity wine has been carefully aged to reflect its intrinsic elegance, and is faithful to the heritage of Baron Edmond de Rothschild.

Ramey Claret follows the Bordelaise model of blending different Bordeaux varietals. Malolactic fermentation is completed in barrel, and the blend is assembled early so it is "elevated" as the finished wine.
For red varieties, harvests began on 21 September for the ‘old’ Merlot and finished on 8 October with the Cabernet Sauvignon. Very delicate destemming and crushing to preserve the integrity of the dried grapes followed by a long maceration in contact with skins at 23-24°C for 25 days. Ageing in barrels of 25 HL (70%) and in barriques (30%) for 3 years. Dry, very warm, full bodied and intense wine.
José Zuccardi Malbec is sourced from Paraje Altamira and contains a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon from Gualtallary. Each variety is naturally fermented in concrete vats, using wild yeasts, and is then aged in foudres and second-use barrels for 24 months.

A tawny port from Ramos Pinto, blended from various casks to produce a rich port wine. With an average age of 10 years (not a minimum age) this is blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Touriga Franca.
