LangeTwins Jahant Woods Fumé Blanc 2021 is a vibrant and aromatic white wine from Lodi, California. This Fumé Blanc, made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, offers bright flavors of citrus, green apple, and tropical fruits, with a subtle hint of smokiness from oak aging.

This wine opens generously with layered aromas of black cherry, plum and currant, roasted coffee, unsweetened cacao, crushed violets, vanilla and nutmeg. Driven by energetic acidity, the palate is tied together by firm tannins, also integrating a glycerin-like, rounded body from the alcohol.

This wine has a unique profile due to the seasoned rum barrels used in the aging process. The portion aged in rum barrels imparts aromas of baking spice, nutmeg and toasted marshmallow. The balance of the wine, aged on French and American oak, offers red fruits and boysenberry jam with notes of vanilla. The structure is savory with velvety tannins and a lingering finish.

For over 35 years, the Herzog and Watts families have worked together to grow spectacular Zinfandel in the Mokelumne River region of Lodi. This Zinfandel is crafted from vines up to 80 years old, capturing intense flavors and rich texture. The wine is balanced and not overly sweet, a style modeled after some of the most historic Late Harvest wines of France.
