Eric de Suremain Rully 1er Cru "Agneaux" Blanc 2015 is a distinguished white wine from the prestigious Rully 1er Cru appellation in Burgundy, France. Crafted with meticulous care, this wine is exclusively made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The "Agneaux" vineyard imparts a unique character to the wine, showcasing the terroir of the region.
This is the fifth vintage to come exclusively from the Martinelli Charles Ranch, two miles in from the Pacific at 1,115 ft elevation. Coming from a special vineyard site, our Sonoma Coast Chardonnay show great depth of flavor, length of finish, aromatic complexity, and a fine balance between richness and delicacy. This vineyard has a typically cool climate, low vigor soil, and a vine selection that generates small berries, small clusters and inherently low yields.
Nose: Saline, yellow pear, oyster shell, underripe pineapple, brioche, creme fraiche, lemon. Palate: Bright, fresh apple and pear skin, sweet cream, sourdough bread, pie crust, lemon compote. 75 cases produced. Drink now through 2032.
Produced from our own steep hillside vineyards which bring out a uniquely textured wine. Planted with the very small berry clone "Old Wente," which is known for balance and aromatic complexity. The growing conditions of 2020 produced a rich yet firm wine. The percentage of new French oak barrels is held to a maximum of 30% to keep vineyard character in the forefront.
