The Schloss Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner Trockenbeerenauslese 2007 is an exquisite dessert wine showcasing the opulent depth of Austria’s Kamptal region. Crafted from meticulously hand-selected, botrytized Grüner Veltliner grapes, it boasts layers of honeyed apricot, candied citrus, and subtle spice, balanced by vibrant acidity.

From a mix of younger and older vines of 5-40 year old vines planted various plots closer to the river on alluvial soil and sand. Hand harvested, whole bunch pressed with a few hours of skin contact in pneumatic press Natural ferment takes place in mix of older large format cask (500-5000L) and stainless steel followed by around 3 months on full lees with no battonage.

Our signature wine. We’d like to see the amount of character this wine has on all human beings. Characterizing our idea of Southern Styria, our region. Refreshing citrus notes, local yellow fruit, elder flower, and black currants.

This wine is light-to-medium in body and often shows floral notes along with classic straw, wheat and savory flavors that Grüner Veltliner is known for.
