The Hoshen stones are gems that were set in the breatplate of the high priest during the time of the Second Temple. Just as these gems were meticulously chosen, so have we chosen the unique and quality wine grapes that go into creating these exciting wines that reflect our aspiration. After 16 months of maturing & aging the unique blend was created.
Weiss Winery continues the tradition of the family's grandfather, who founded the first winery in Mátészalka, Hungary, in 1882. This special blend is named after one hundred founders of the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem. The grapes were harvested by hand from old vineyards, underwent long fermentations, and aged for 26 months in high-quality French oak barrels.
The Netofa Tel Qasser Red is a Rhone blend aged for 10 months in French oak barrels. Deep purple in color, fresh blackberries and raspberries on the nose followed by dried violets, lavender as well as hints of grilled meat and black pepper.
This blend of famed Rhone varietal grapes, Syrah and Mourvedre, is grown in Netofa's vineyards in the lower Galilee, near the famous Kerem ben Zimra. This area is well known for having one of the best climates in israel for grape growing. While many wines from Israel are big and bold, Domaine Netofa wines are refined and elegant, after the the Rhone valley style of winemaking.
Is in the classic style of the Southern Rhone Valley in France, the source of the famous Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre blend. Each of the components brings its qualities to the wine which balances power with elegance. The wine is aged for a period of 15 months in French oak barrels and has deep forest fruit aromas and a subtle freshness.
