Yarden Katzrin Red 2019 is an exceptional red wine from Israel's Golan Heights region. Crafted from a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc grapes, this wine reflects the unique terroir of the Golan Heights.
This special dessert wine is made from Gewürztraminer grapes, using ancient Madeira-style technology based on late harvest of fully ripe grapes, most of which are shriveled. The wine is aged in outdoor oak barrels for a year.
The Psagot Prat is a red port wine made from grapes grown in the Judean Hills. The color is a dark purple, with floral notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and rose pedals. The wine is aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, which adds nice vanilla oak flavors to the complex fruit flavors. Tasting notes include blackberry, plum, cranberry, coffee, and chocolate. The oak also smooths over the mouth feel and leaves the wine supple with velvety tannins.
