Dominus Estate is the Napa Valley property of Bordeaux producer Christian Moueix. The wine is bottled from the historic Napanook Vineyard. Located at the foothills of the Mayacamas, the vineyard was planted in 1838 and continues to evolve under the stewardship of Christian Moueix.
Overture is the second wine of Opus One. Aged in French oak, Overture is comprised of the five classic Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
Ripe peach, citrus fruits, spice, and pie crust aromas all mingle and lift from the glass. Our Single Vineyard collection is inspired by the Herzog family's ongoing commitment to sourcing and prospecting new vineyards. The Dry Creek Valley appellation features ancient hills with rocky soil that drains exceptionally well helping to stress the vines late in the growing season, and concentrate the flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. This single vineyard wine displays a rich velvet ruby color, with aromas of blackberry, cinnamon and spice. Bold flavors of black raspberry appear in the finish, with silky notes of vanilla.
