It is a full-bodied and incredibly soft wine that enhances the concentration of the vintage, with a great freshness. Black cherry, mocha, licorice, spices, menthol and chocolate are some of notes that spread out in the palate. It has fine, silky tannins and a long finish. Straight and energetic.

Clear, firm, quite fresh aroma of red and a little black berries with floral nuances and a touch of citrus zest as well as hints of soup herbs and tar. Taut, tart, juicy, youthful fruit, nutty aromas, a little cocoa and a hint of coffee, some acidity, present, yet fine tannin, persistent, has power, salt in the background, also a little herbs and pepper, quite polished, very good, juicy and spicy finish with traction.

Colleoni Brunello di Montalcino Santa Maria 2015 is a prestigious Italian red wine from the renowned Brunello di Montalcino wine region in Tuscany. A 5th generation winemaker, but the first in his family to produce his own wine, Salvatore Marino strives to maintain the equilibrium of biodiversity in the vineyard, working entirely by hand, with green manure as the only additive in the vineyard. Although he owns 5.5 hectares of total land, he only has 1.5 hectares under vine—a way of attempting to maintain biodiversity.
