At first sip, this Chardonnay is fruit-forward and refreshing. Crisp green apple, Asian pear and lemon meringue pie take center stage in our classic, cool-climate Chardonnay. More subtle tones of stone fruit, honeysuckle and yellow plum develop in the mid-palate while barrel fermentation and sur lie aging finish this Chardonnay with rich flavors of vanilla bean, butter cream and subtle hints of baking spices and clove. Well balanced acidity gives this lively wine structure and the perfect amount of bite.

Our appealing Apothic Chardonnay opens with generous notes of crisp red and green apple, layered with hints of honey, caramel and vanilla. Hat Strap Chardonnay shows golden delicious apple, pineapple, and lemon zest flavors with hints of Freestone peach and macadamia nut. It’s a full-bodied, complex wine that finishes with great richness and length.

Grapes for this Chardonnay come from three of our Sonoma Coast Vineyards located to the East of Petaluma - Catapult, Diamond Pile and Tolay Vista. This region is called “The Petaluma Gap”, defined as a corridor of cool air that comes from the Pacific Ocean and flows toward the east through the gap in the Sonoma Mountain range.

This Chardonnay exhibits beguiling aromas of vanilla, orange blossoms, crisp apples and toasted marshmallows with a bit of spice from the barrels. Rich and creamy on the palate with notes of zested lemon oil and pear.
