The 2016 OVID Napa Valley reflects the pleasure and opulence of the long and nearly perfect growing season from that created it. This wine's dense and powerful palate is complemented by freshness and vibrancy that give it tremendous poise. Expansive aromas of mulberry, fresh crushed raspberry, licorice, forest floor and pen ink are just beginning to tell the tale of a spectacular season.
Stags Leap is one of California’s smallest and most sought after AVAs with only 1,200 planted acres. Unique soil and climate produce Cabernet Sauvignon notable for its distinctive combination of power and elegance. Over the past decade Herzog searched tirelessly for the perfect opportunity to share the wine of this renowned region with the Kosher Wine world. The grapes were harvested at 26° brix and transported to the cellars at 45°F in bins not fully loaded to keep the clusters intact, de-stemmed into a small tank, and fermented for 13 days.
The 2018 Reliquus Cabernet Sauvignon is generous and fleshy, with a delicious nose of red cherry, black plum, leather, roasted red pepper, pot pourri, and dried violets. The palate is round and sublimely textured, with flavors of red fruits, black fig, cocoa powder and baking spices in an effortless balance. This wine pairs beautifully with food and is perfectly accessible now, and will also continue to integrate and develop with time in the cellar.

Andosol draws inspiration from the historic field blends of California. The inherent stress the rugged site lends to grape growing will saturate the grapes with intensity and depth. The 2019 Oakcross Proprietary Red presents itself with an intense, dark ruby color. It opens with scents of red plum, perfume and aromatic floral notes of violet, along with hints of pomegranate, persimmon and vanilla cream. The mouthfeel is plush, soft and balanced, with perfectly resolved tannins and flavors of tart plum skin and rich, dark berries.

The 2020 Quintessa enters on a core of cassis, black cherry, and currants enveloped by clove spice and savory dried herbs. Layers of structured tannin and the distinct mineral imprint of the Quintessa terroir give way to a structured and polished finish. Balanced and with well-integrated movement, this elegant and complex wine has plenty of life ahead of it – drinking well now and with cellar potential for at least 20 years.
