The Kvaszinger family has been making wine for many generations in the tiny village of Olaszliszka, in Hungary's Tokaj region. Their winery, nestled along the picturesque banks of the River Bodrog, uses only traditional viticultural methods to carefully produce their wines.
100% Riesling. Pichler-Krutzler from Austria's famed Wachau region is Erich Krutzler and his wife Elisabeth Pichler-Krutzler, the son-in-law and daughter of F.X. Pichler. Erich is a very serious and talented winemaker in his own right, having inherited a great Blaufraenkisch vineyard in Suedburgenland from his family estate, Krutzler, where he was for several years the winemaker, and has had a couple of international award-winning projects in Slovenia.
Inviting flavors of fresh peach and tropical fruit on the nose. Juicy on the palate, delicate vineyard peach aromas, grapefruit zests, attractive spicyness, salty minerals, lively acidity, elegant texture.

Rich yellow gold, deep complex fruit, honey melone dominates, tender roasted aroma, huge at the palate, well defined with good structure and very balanced, not to lush, fine acidity with endless aftertaste, probably durable “for ever”; exceptional wine.

The 2021 Ried Loibenberg Loibner Riesling Smaragd is deep intense and ripe on the nose but also pure and fresh with notes of crushed stones and tropical yellow stone fruits. Dense and intense on the substantial palate this is a full-bodied concentrated and sustainably structured Loibenberg with great intensity grip and mineral tension. The finish is very long intense and quite powerful and still dominated by its ripe fruit.
From a mix of younger and older vines of 5-40 year old vines planted various plots closer to the river on alluvial soil and sand. Hand harvested, whole bunch pressed with a few hours of skin contact in pneumatic press Natural ferment takes place in mix of older large format cask (500-5000L) and stainless steel followed by around 3 months on full lees with no battonage.
Weingut Knoll dates from the 1950’s based in Unter-Loeben on the banks of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau. The famous baroque image of Saint Urban has graced its labels from 1962. Emmerich Knoll farms 16 hectares of vines in some of the best sites, the Loibner Gruner Veltliner comes from two vineyards on the lower flatter slopes of the steeply terraced Loibenberg hillside close to the Danube.
