The vines are oriented up and down the steep rockly hillside, a planting method that optimizes sun exposure, vine density, and requires meticulous hand farming. Today Viader is a thriving family business producing world-class wines from a magnificent, mature estate-vineyard property. The blend represented in this bottle is highly influenced by Cabernet Franc, which imparts a unique, violet-like perfume, as well as a rounding softness and considerable elegance of structure to the hillside-grown Cabernet Sauvignon.
