Van Duzer Sorcery Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The four-acre Thoma Vineyard in California's prime-wine valley is the source of grapes for Sorcery wine. Following Oregon's Van Duzer Vineyards, also owned by the Thoma family, where they are crafted into a classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon.

Imminently approachable, dark plum fruit mingles with impressions of freshly crushed red and black berries, violet flowers, exotic spice, and earthy characters in this tasty, ruby-toned Cabernet Sauvignon. Tantalizing black pepper and bittersweet chocolate hang on the periphery. Slightly sweet, there are no tongue-curling tannins here, just a refined, slightly chewy body that wraps the tongue with elegant balance. Supple tannins round the edges of a firm structure, producing a wine of great versatility. A lovely wine, ready to drink now, that should be lovely 10 years hence.
