A new line of wines. It's always neat to try something new. It's a new line of wines from importer Luis Moya. The grape come from vineyards in the Sierra Foothills, Lodi, the Central Coast and North Coast AVAs. The main 3 varietals are noted with dollops of others. The wine is a deep ruby with a purple ring and bubbles.
It's meant to drink now. The dark berry fruits, blackberry and dark cherry spring up nicely and there is some spice with oaky notes. Nicely proportioned. On the tongue the tannins are round some what gripping to give the fruit a place to linger and the spice, slight pepper and oak blend well. The acidity cuts through nicely and there is a decent aftertaste. This would be a great pizza night, burgers on the grill type of wine.
