Stringtown Pinot Noir 2011
With expressive cherry and red berry fruit on the nose and a soft, supple palate, rounded off by sweet, spicy, and complex oak notes, this fruit-driven Pinot Noir features just the right balance of acidity and delicate tannins to finish clean yet vibrant.
Stringtown is a negociant-style project of Sherbrooke Cellars that first started out of the need in the market for affordable high-quality Pinot Noir. Here the focus is on organic farming that examines the ecological relationship between soil, plants, and animals. So, all the grapes grown for Stringtown are done so without pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Their winemaking is also built on community and the strong support of independent growers who uphold this philosophy.
