The enriched Talisker, Amoroso seasoned casks impart a wonderfully rounded and luscious, fruity sweetness, complementing the familiar crisp, dry peat smoke and pepperiness.
This expression is presented at natural cask strength, as was the custom before the turn of the 20th century. Add a drop or two of water to reveal a cornucopia of flavour - from richly spiced bramble wine to chocolate raisin and lingering Seville orange peel.
“Madly sited”, perched high between two mountain ranges on a pass once a meeting point for cattle drovers on their way to market. The name Dalwhinnie translates from Gaelic as “Plain of Meetings”.
