Kyoto Miyako Distillery is the first Kyoto whisky distillery, located in Kyotamba-Cho and surrounded by beautiful nature in the central part of Kyoto Prefecture. Not far from the distillery is the Yura River, known as the fishing ground for Ayu (Japanese river fish).

Smooth, silky, really cohesive and mellow flavors of spiced honey, clove, red apples, and caramel. Nutty and malty on the  palate, warm with oak, and sweetened by vanilla, caramel, and candied peach bits.

Honda Tadakatsu was a Japanese samurai, general, and daimyo of the late Sengoku through early Edo periods, who served Tokugawa Ieyasu. Aged in Mizunara oak casks this limited edition bottle of battle armor continues the tradition and quality of Yamato whisky.

On the nose, this whiskey presents citrus and sweet spices. On the palate, it is sweet and mellow, with notes of vanilla, nutmeg and bitters. Best enjoyed neat, at room temperature.

Fine, distinguished. On the first nose, a herbaceous, salty and empyreumatic (sleet) peat clearly dominates. Allowed to breathe, it makes way for fruits (apple, pear, Canary melon), flowers (lily, carnation) and mint, all of which bring lots of momentum to the aroma palette.
