Gran Duque D’Alba was first launched in 1945 and named for the Great Duke of Alba, Fernando Alvarez de Toledo y Pimentel. Gran Duque D’Alba Oro uses Airen and Palomino Brandies that are aged for an average of 25 years through the unique Solera system in sherry-infused American oak casks. Old mahogany with ebony highlights. Serve in a brandy snifter neat or over ice. Excellent for special occasions. BRANDY ALVISA XO THE JEWEL OF ALVISA Alvisa XO (extra old) is an excellent brandy that obtained after a proves of double distillation in Charentais alembic and aged in French oak barrels, under the supervision of our enologist Sergio del Coso.
Alvisa 10 is made exclusively from Airen, an ecological variety of white grapes. It ages for 10 years in centenary French oak barrels, where it acquires aromas of vanilla and new wood.
In color, it is bright, clean, amber with reflections of gold. On the nose, it has an elegant aroma and aromas of French oak with hints of vanilla and cocoa and a slight touch of hazelnut.
The gold-highlighted mahogany color and the complexity of the aromas – wine esters with distinctive balsamic notes – remind us of the brandy’s lengthy presence in wood. The palate is medium-dry, smooth and full, with burnt undertones and hints of vanilla, followed by a long, pleasing finish.
