Yamazaki Golden Promise barley, originating from Scotland in the 1960s, stands out as a superior grain prized for its distinctive qualities. Initially cultivated for Scotch whisky production, its influence has expanded to other renowned spirits, including the revered Yamazaki whisky from Japan.

Through years of experimentation, our blenders have discovered the secret to the treasures of Mizunara casks: time. A long maturation period imparts unmistakeable spiciness and notes of sandalwood and aloe upon the Yamazaki.

Yamazaki Islay Peat is a unique type of peat used in scotch whisky, known for its softer and sweeter taste compared to the peat from Scotland’s mainland. This difference makes Islay peat stand out and gives it a special place in the whisky world.
