Shooting Star Sauvignon Blanc 2014
The Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh, crisp wine with plenty of bright, lively fruit. It has notes of fig, melon, gooseberry and a hint of honey. On the palate, this “lip-smacking good” wine shows fresh grapefruit, gooseberry and tart lime, with a generous, crisp acidic finish. Great with Park Place Restaurant’s Mediterranean Pasta Salad, summertime finger-foods and grilled goat-cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon
The winery ferment the juice in stainless steel tanks to preserve the wonderful freshness and character of the grapes. With the exception of this Sauvignon Blanc, all our other white wines spend some time in barrel. They make this wine without any barrel fermentation or aging. Additionally, the wine does not go through malo-lactic fermentation. This helps to preserve the crisp acidity and fresh fruit flavors in the wine.
