Santa Marina Pinot Grigio
One of the finest varietal wines of Northern Italy, Santa Marina Pinot Grigio is elegant and crisp, with a delicate bouquet. A perfect accompaniment to food, this extraordinary pinot grigio complements fresh pasta, seafood, poultry, or veal dishes.
Bottled by I.C.R.F. VR/594 (AKA Enoitalia Spa), a private winery owned by the Pizzolo family. The Pizzolo family have been involved in the agricultural activity from the first post-war period when Giovanni Alberto Pizzolo decided to invest the savings he accumulated after many years as a farmer to buy the first piece of land. In the beginning he cultivated vegetables but soon moved to growing tobacco in Zimella, a little village in the countryside between the towns of Verona and Vicenza. After the death of Giovanni Alberto the family business was taken over by four of his sons: Giuliano, Augusto, Floriano, and Giorgio. A few years later in 1986, the Pizzolo family acquired some existing premises from a winery located in Calmasino di Bardolino, giving birth to the Enoitalia company. With this acquisition, a new exciting adventure started for the Pizzolo family and since that time—through a daily hard work—Enoitalia has become one of the largest cellars in Italy, respected for its reliability and able to play a role of protagonist in the international panorama of wine business.
