Peshterska Muskatova Blue Brandy
This Bulgarian grape rakia is distilled from Muscat grapes and presented in a striking cobalt-blue teardrop bottle that makes it as much a centerpiece as a spirit. Produced by the Pesherska distillery, it is bottled at 40% ABV in a 500 ml format.
The label highlights its rich Muscat aroma, and the nose is typically floral and perfumed, with notes of ripe grape, rose petal, and honeyed citrus. On the palate it is smooth and aromatic, with a clean, gently sweet fruit character and a warm, lingering finish. Serve it chilled as a digestif or aperitif, or pair it with a classic Bulgarian meze of cured meats, white cheese, and fresh salads.
