The St. Julien is developing a wide aroma bouquet. Violet is present and is associated with woody notes, smoke. With age, game notes, truffle and leather appear. On the palate, this wine is very elegant, it is a concentrated wine. The more aged the more it becomes harmonious and tannic structure blends to make room has great subtlety.
78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot. Located on the Left Bank, between Pauillac and Margaux, Saint-Julien is known for an excellent consistency in fine winemaking. Saint-Julien's wines, like this one, show all the virtues of the beautiful, long-lived blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot: deep color, blackcurrant and vanilla aromas, and mellow, velvety tannins.
