Château Golan Naveh White Non-Mevushal 2023
Naveh White is an estate-grown 100% Sauvignon Blanc wine. The grapes are handpicked at our Tel Fares vineyard in the central Golan Heights. The Tel Fares soil is a basaltic, rocky terrain at 750 meters above sea level.
The grapes are pressed immediately on arrival and and set for a natural fermentation (No yeast added) - some in stainless steel vats and some in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for seven months and is then blended and bottled. During the aging process, the wine is kept at a low temperature to prevent malolactic fermentation. Barrel-fermented and aged for a few months in oak, this is a serious Sauvignon Blanc which commands food. Light gold towards pale straw in color, with on the nose scents of grapefruit and ripe peach with hints of tropical fruit such as honeydew as well as a touch of dried flowers. Medium-bodied, with on the palate ripe lemon, gooseberries, white grapefruit and notes of nectarine followed by earthy minerals, a touch of roasted hazelnuts from the oak, and a subtle hint of vanilla. The wine showcases a beautifully balanced acidity that enhances its freshness and lengthens the finish. With its complex layers of citrus and stone fruit, complemented by a delicate mineral backbone, Naveh White pairs exceptionally well with seafood dishes, creamy cheeses, and light Mediterranean fare. Enjoy this elegant Sauvignon Blanc chilled to fully appreciate its vibrant character and refined elegance.
