Château Golan Naveh Red Non-Mevushal 2020
Naveh Red is an estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon based wine made from hand-picked grapes on select plots in our estate vineyards in the southern Golan Heights. The soil which sits 400 meters above sea level, is volcanic and rich in clay.
After the malolactic fermentation is complete this wine continues to age in French oak barrels for an additional 14 months. The wine is then bottled and set to age for an additional year before being released to the market. Deep purple towards garnet in color, with on the nose very ripe black currants, black cherries and blackberries as well as hints of dill, toasted oak and vanilla. Full-bodied and concentrated, dry on the palate but unapologetically ripe with bold black plums, Mediterranean herbs, bittersweet licorice, medium acidity and chewy, slightly sweet tannins with sweet oaky notes and milk chocolate on a long and rich finish.
