Moskovskoe Igristoe Wine Semi Sweet Sparkling
Traditional Sparkling wine of the SSSR. This is a good and cheap sparkling wine made using the traditional champagne method.
The Wine - Usually champagne is a sparkling wine of any brand, even though the name champagne is legally reserved for sparkling wine produced in the Champagne region of France. This law does not apply to countries of the former Soviet Union so they label their sparkling wine as champagne. This bottle is an export from Poland so it is labeled Moskobckoe "Igristoe" meaning Moscow Sparkling. They are made using the traditional method of champagne making. Champagne is served chilled - it should be 47-50 degrees Farenheight. Should be drunk cold, not warm but does not have to be. It is drunk from slender glasses that allow you to observe escaping bubbles. The best are transparent in the shape of a tulip or flute
Tasting Notes - This sparkling wine has the usual Champagne golden straw color. On the Palate of the wine is filled with notes of green apples and linden flowers. Has a refreshing and pleasant aroma. This wine will go perfectly with light or large meals, salads, snacks, fruits, and desserts. The traditional New Years Champagne of former Soviet Union countries.
