Meo-Camuzet Fixin 2011
The Fixin is a worthy representative of the famous soils of the Cote de Nuits; freshness and structure are characteristics shared by the Bourgogne appellations situated in the renowned wine villages of the region. Two characteristics dominate this wine: it is extremely soft and extremely easy drinking.
Pinot Noir. A winegrowing approach that's rooted in the soil. For the premier crus, the cultivation and treatment of the vines is under Meo-Camuzet's direct and total responsibility. The methods applied are absolutely haute couture: lavish and unstinting care from their team and particular management of each vine stock. They select their AOC village grapes from winegrowers sharing their insistence on work well done. They take personal charge of yields, harvesting, and of course vinification.
