House recipe fortified wine (grape neutral spirits) with herbs (sage, thyme, marjoram, parsley, lemon verbena, rosemary, and mint), barks, roots, dried orange peels, and caramelized simple syrup. Aged in cask outdoors.

Doug founded the Wine Spectator Grand Award winning Wine Cask restaurant, he launched the nationally recognized Santa Barbara Wine Futures Program, has consulted for numerous wineries and has imported some of the most sought after wines in the United States. Doug has had his hands in many aspects of the wine business and in 2001 started Margerum Wine Company.
