Nice bouquet with good intensity which is marked by aromas of ripped fruits, raspberry jam and with hints of woodland notes. Crisp attack, well balanced on the palate with a round and concentrated texture. Tannins are firmed with a good persistence.
Champy is a small family run business. The company’s principle is not to grow significantly, but being a boutique negociantto consistently producing artisanal wines with continued aim to express the nuances of the Burgundian terroirs. Champy represents about twenty five hectares of vines on the Côte de Beaune, certificated organic since 2010 vintage and since 2014 for the vines from Clos de la Chapelle. The estate produces about 500 000 bottles per year. With the Domaine Laleure-Piot, Champy is also one of the major producers of the Pernand-Vergelesses appellation.
