Magma Bazelet Golan Heights 2012

The wine is unfiltered and aged 8 months in French and American oak barrels.Showing a slightly gentler character than Bazelet HaGolan's other reds, Magma reveals a delightful blend of fresh blackberries, light oak and pleasing mouthfeel. Kosher for Passover.

Volcanic basalt soil, high altitude vineyards, and the unique terroir of the Galilee combine to create the quality wines of Bazelet HaGolan. The Bazelet HaGolan logo depicts an old coin, with a portrait of the Greek mythological figure Dionysus, father of joy and happiness. Magma begins with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from a single vineyard in Kidmat Zvi. To that is added 15% of the Bazelet HaGolan Cabernet Sauvignon Bronze, oak barrels for over 8 months, plus 10% Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve and 25% Merlot Reserve, both oak barrels for 20 months.
