Lorgeril Mas des Montages Cuvee Classique 2010
Vivid, deep crimson color with typical Grenache raspberry-jam aromas. On the palate, the watchword is elegance rather than power, the altitude and diverse soils of the Roussillon vineyards make themselves felt in the fine tannic structure and racy minerality that define this wine's character. Pair with grilled lamb chops with thyme, grilled entrecote (rare), or hard cheeses.
50% Grenache, 40% Syrah, 10% Carignan. Located at the foot of the famous Mount Canigou in the French Pyrenees, the vineyards of the Mas des Montagnes proudly stand up in altitude. Their roots are deeply anchored in the heart of a rich terroir of gneiss, schist, and limestone. In this unique place of sun, cool nights, winds, and the Mediterranean Sea, Nature sublimates Comtes de Lorgeril's grapes allowing them to offer a wine with a perfect balance and a unique fineness which reflects the deepness of Roussillon.
