Kenwood Vineyards Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc 2014
Fragrant aromas of lychee, white nectarine and lemongrass combined with zesty citrus and tropical flavors that give way to a crisp and refreshing finish. This Sauvignon Blanc makes an excellent apéritif and complements a number of entrées particularly spring vegetable salad and herb roasted fish.
The 2014 vintage enjoyed a nearly perfect growing season with a healthy crop of excellent fruit that showed the distinctive aromas for which Sauvignon Blanc is renowned. Harvest began in early September and the individual vineyard lots were harvested at their peak of flavor and then fermented in separate lots of small stainless steel tanks. After aging in small tanks, our winemaking team selected individual lots which form a harmonious and complex blend. The wine was produced without any barrel aging or malolactic fermentation, so the distinctive varietal character of Sauvignon Blanc would carry through to the bottle.
