Jerusalem Vineyard Special Reserve 5600 2016
The Special Reserve is Jerusalem Wineries' flagship wine and their grapes are grown in unique vineyards, at the base of the Shilo river and the slopes of Mount Bracha. The combination of grape varieties grown in this unique terroir creates an impressive wine, with a dark red opaque hue, and a combination of fascinating aromas including black cherry, Belgian chocolate, and fresh, earthy anise. Ready to drink, but can be aged for many more years.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot. Bottled by Jerusalem Wineries. In the Hebrew year 5600, wineries developed throughout Jerusalem. Since 5675, the Guetta family owns the only winery currently in Jerusalem, and is to this day continuing the tradition of exceptional winemaking. This wine was aged for 24 months in French and American oak barrels. In order to maintain its rich flavor, the wine is unfiltered. Only 4,000 bottles were produced.
