The Healdsburg Ranches Cabernet Sauvignon is proof positive that (given ample practice and a pure heart) it is possible to produce a wine that arrives boldly (macerated currants and ripe blackberries), states its case (quickly braised figs, a short dusting of cocoa powder) and makes a elegant exit (in this case, long and polished). An exercise in equanimity.
