Looking for an inexpensive Pinot Noir that will impress the wine snobs? Search no more. Hanging Vine is slightly veiled in secrecy. That is, you won't find much press on the winery or winemaker. In fact the distributor doesn't even feature the producer on their website. This usually signifies that there are some heavy hitters involved in the project and they choose to keep the their background on the down-low.
About half of the fruit was sourced from Carneros, with the balance sourced from Sonoma Coast, Russian River, Sonoma County, Mendocino and Central Coast.The brilliant ruby color sets the stage for aromas of ripe cherry and cranberry, with hints of white pepper and nutmeg. While dominated by effusive fruit flavor, the wine is soft, supple and rich in the mouth.
