Galil Alon 2018
Alon is a full-bodied wine with well-balanced flavors and a pleasant, long-lasting finish. It is aged in oak barrels for a year. Deep purple color. Displays characters of fresh fruit, spices, and toasted oak. Goes well with rich meals and perfectly accompanies meat dishes such as leg of lamb with cream spinach, roast beef, seared sirloin, grilled meats, or even rich chocolate desserts like truffles.
45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Syrah, 8% Petit Verdot, 6% Cabernet Franc. In the higher elevations of the Upper Galilee, a wild mountainous region of forested slopes, gorges, stony ridges and running streams—lie the vineyards of Galil Mountain Winery. It was established in 2000 as a joint venture between the world-renowned Golan Heights Winery and the Kibbutz Yiron community, leveraging five area vineyards and a state-of-the-art production plant. A mountain range on the Upper Galilee is much more than an abode for Galil Mountain Winery— it's the winery's heart and soul. Sitting atop a breathtaking spot, the innovatively designed winery is committed to revitalizing the region's rich history of winemaking.
