Errazuriz Max Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2017

A pale greenish-yellow color. This is a very lush wine, intensely aromatic with abundant tropical fruits, such as guava and passion fruit, perfectly balanced with the mineral notes and herbal tones so typical of top-end Sauvignon Blanc. The palate offers volume and silkiness at the same time, with a light creaminess that enhances the herbal notes and a beautiful minerality.

100% Sauvignon Blanc. Don Maximiano Errazuriz founded Vina Errazuriz in 1870 in the Valle de Aconcagua, 62 miles north of the capital city, Santiago. Recognizing that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers, and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world-class vineyard. Today, his descendents strive to build on his legacy, locating ideal vineyard sites, planting new varieties and realizing techniques to capture the Aconcagua Valley's perfect conditions. When over 140 years of winemaking expertise meets the perfect conditions of the Aconcagua Valley, terroir achieves its best expression. Errazuriz' "Max" vineyards, named in honor of their founder Don Maximiano Errazuriz, are planted throughout the valley to enhance the typicity of their wines and bring out their maximum potential. The schist soils and cool climate terroir of their coastal Manzanar vineyard result in a crisp and mineral wine. The lots were aged on their lees for 3 months to enhance texture and volume on the palate, delivering a wine with intense herbal notes and great acidity.
