Dewar's is a leading brand of blended Scotch whisky. It is one of the best-selling blended Scotch whiskies in the USA, and has won a number of awards for its flagship White Label blend. The John Dewar & Sons company was founded in 1846 by John Dewar Sr, and was greatly expanded by his sons, John Jr and Tommy. Dewar's became famous in the USA when Scottish industrialist Andrew Carnegie sent it to President Benjamin Harrison as an inauguration gift.
