DeLoach Vineyards O.F.S. Pinot Noir 2011

The 2011 OFS Pinot Noir is a prime example of the quintessential Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from a colder growing season. The aromas and flavors of pomegranate, cranberry, rose petals, and savory herbs are complimented by underlying minerality and sweet oak. With medium body, silky texture, and complexity, this delicious wine will develop beautifully in the bottle.

DeLoach Vineyards is owned by Boisset Family Estates. As DeLoach tastes each barrel of their Russian River wines aging in the cellar, the rare one elicits a reaction worthy of being declared "Our Finest Selection (O.F.S.)." These chosen barrels become DeLoach's legendary O.F.S. wines. Inspired by their Burgundian heritage, the 2011 Pinot Noir underwent hand punch-downs in small, open-top oak fermentors, native yeast fermentations, and gentle basket pressing, creating a seduction pinot noir balanced among spice, fruit, and minerality.
