DAOU Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
Composed of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 3% Petite Sirah. Aged for ten months in 50% new French oak, it exhibits ripe currant, blackberry, and blueberry aromas and flavors, with floral and baking spice highlights.
It is full and round on the palate, with a dense core of fruit, balanced acidity, well-integrated oak, and polished, neatly-defined tannins. A hint of minerals and dusting of cocoa powder lingers on the finish. Give it a light decant, and enjoy with herbed rack of lamb.
