Covenant Cabernet Sauvignon Solomon Lot 70 Non-Mevushal 2019

Our eleventh vintage of Solomon Lot 70 is phenomenally lush, supple-textured and loaded with ripe, black fruit and spice flavors.

In 2018, we were saddened by the death of our co-founder, Leslie Rudd, whose estate vineyards had been the source of Solomon Lot 70 since 2008. Taking a new direction, we culled Solomon Lot 70 from a Napa Valley, hillside Cabernet Sauvignon planting belonging to Francis Mahoney, who has supplied us with outstanding Pinot Noir since 2011. The new Mahoney vines have delivered quality comparable to what we found in the Rudd wine, but with a unique character driven by the new terroir. Dark, black fruit is at the fore, couched in continued and long-lasting layers of excellence. This might be our greatest Solomon Lot 70 yet.
