This wine's color is bright ruby with an intense bouquet that emits spicy notes. This wine may be dry but has hints of violet and raspberry. To be enjoyed with red meat, roasts, game and strong cheeses.
From the time of October 20th and November 10th the Aglianico grapes are handpicked and placed in plastic containers to be shipped to the winery. From there the grapes are soft pressed, followed by maceration in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit to 77 degrees Fahrenheit for a duration of 15 to 20 days. After the first racking the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6 months.
